Let's face it, the talk around AI can feel a little sci-fi, right? Robots taking over the art world? Not quite! We see AI as less of a replacement and more of an incredible creative partner, a sidekick that helps you unlock those ideas you didn't even know you had.
Imagine this: you're staring at a blank page, unsure of where to start. That's where AI steps in. Think of it as a supercharged brainstorming buddy. AI tools can spark new ideas, help you break through those creative blocks, and even give you a fresh perspective on your work. We're talking writing assistants that help you refine your writing, music composition tools that generate unique melodies, and visual art algorithms that push the boundaries of what's possible – all to spark human creativity.
And here's the thing: AI isn't about taking away the human touch. It's about freeing you up to focus on what you do best – being creative! By handling those tedious tasks, like endless research or repetitive data entry, AI gives you the space to truly explore your imagination. As Duncan Wardle, a creative innovator, wisely points out, "Knowledge gets in the way" of seeing new possibilities. AI helps us break those mental patterns and see things in a whole new light. This aligns with a recent global study by Harvard Business Review Analytic Services, in association with Canva, which revealed that 96% of survey respondents agree creative ideas are essential to an organisation’s long-term success and performance. AI can serve as a potent catalyst in generating and refining those crucial creative ideas.
We believe in embracing the future of and with creativity. We know that the human element is still the heart of it all. AI is the tool, but you're the artist. It's about collaboration, not competition. AI can generate the sparks, but it's your intuition, your emotions, and your unique experiences that turn those sparks into something truly extraordinary.
What we’re doing about? We’ve incorporated AI into all our courses to ensure our students gain exposure to AI tools relevant to their area of study. We encourage its usage it so when they start working, they have an edge, understanding and the skills to leverage it.
