What is the Online Pre Sessional English Programme?

A fully online, tutor-led academic English course designed to prepare students for the language and academic expectations of creative degree study in the UK.

The programme combines online lessons and guided self-study, developing the skills needed to engage in creative academic environments, including using subject-specific language, participating in structured discussion, and responding to feedback.

Course structure

Entry Requirement:

✔️ Offer of a place from a participating university (e.g., Leeds Conservatoire or Leeds Arts University).

English Language Requirements:

✔️ 6 or 12 weeks, depending on current English level

Students who have not yet met the required English level can use this programme to meet their university entry conditions for the academic year.

Each university sets its own progression conditions. Successful completion at the required level allows students to meet the English language requirements for entry onto their chosen degree.
